Dr. Carlos M. Travieso-González is an Associate Professor at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. He earned his M.Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in 1997 and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 2002. With a strong background in research, Dr. Travieso-González has contributed to more than 34 international and national research projects. He has co-authored two books, co-edited seven proceedings books, and served as a Guest Editor for several international journals. Additionally, he has contributed numerous book chapters. His extensive publication record includes over 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. He also holds one patent, with two more currently under review.
Dr. Travieso-González’s research interests include biometrics, biomedical signal processing, data mining, classification systems, signal and image processing, and environmental intelligence.
